MODULE 2:  Theology of Disability: Understanding God through the lens of disability

This module answers the question - What does the bible say about disability? 

The following themes will be examined:

· Understanding the Bible as a story

· Bible interpretation (Hermeneutics)

· The Bible and diversity (The theology of difference and diversity)

· Understanding God through the ministry of weakness (Theological underpinnings of who God is and the principles seen through the text linked to disability and special needs)

· Understanding what God has to say about disability and diversity

Learning outcomes: At the end of this module, participants will be able to

1. Understand how to interpret the Bible and its application to disability

2. Understand the model of 'Bible as story'

3. Understand the theology of disability and its implications for who God is
