Our 20DoP starts today! If you want to join in with us sign up to be an email subscriber and we'll send you the daily prayer and thought right into your inbox! We'll be sharing highlights here but if you want the full experience be sure to sign up, we're so excited to journey through the next 20 days with you as we think about FAMILIES!
Families are so important especially in time of joy and sorrow. We need each other to share our wants, fears and regrets. We need each other because we were made to be 'community'. A speaker once said 'we know ourselves through relationship with others'. This is so true.
I have learnt patience, commitment and trust from my immediate family as well as my wider family and friends. I am still learning and continue to learn from people who are different to me.
At the last ASNA training, Dr Josef reminded the attendees that strength & resilience in community develops from diversity. We need to constantly learn from each other, value each other and appreciate each others differences. Enriching our lives and the lives of others. At ASNA we believe in diversity, community, understanding and connections. This holiday, who can you connect with to build your resilience and the resilience of someone else? Connections can also be made through pray. At ASNA we believe in the power of prayer.
This bank holiday, ASNA launches the 20DoP with a video of one of the Gospel Train /S4J Gospel choir attendees Sam Pittick singing his favourite Easter songs . Sam is also a founding member of the Oxford Soundabout inclusion Choir as well as a solo artist in his own right! Joining Sing4Joy online Gospel Choir, Sam says he find the sessions ' wonderful and enjoyable'. He loves the gospel songs and loves to sing them.
To launch our 20DoP, we asked Sam Pittick to pray for ASNA as a charity and to sing one of his favourite songs for this time of the year - Happy Holiday!.
